Paul Dunne returns to M&C Saatchi

M&C Saatchi has appointed Ogilvy’s Paul Dunne to the role of creative director, retail.   This follows the appointment of Ronojoy Ghosh to the role of senior art director.

The announcement:

19 November Sydney – M&C Saatchi has appointed highly credentialed creative Paul Dunne to the new role of creative director, Retail.

The move will see Mr Dunne return to M&C Saatchi after almost five years, bringing a wealth of experience across a broad range of categories and creative disciplines.

M&C Saatchi Asia Pacific & US regional creative director Tom McFarlane said creatives of Mr Dunne’s calibre and experience are extremely thin on the ground.

“Paul’s credentials are impeccable and it’s great to have him back in the fold. He is a perfect fit to take us forward in this new, senior role and we eagerly await his contribution, which will no doubt be considerable,” Mr McFarlane said.

M&C Saatchi has won a number of new accounts in recent months and the new role reflects the needs of this new business

“It is important we had a senior operator who is someone we know well across these accounts to guide the various creative teams. Paul fits that bill perfectly,” Mr McFarlane said.

“He will be the go-to man across a number of accounts.”

Most recently Ogilvy creative group head, Mr Dunne begins his new role at M&C Saatchi on 6 December.

He was creative group head on Optus during his four years with M&C Saatchi nearly five years ago.

In another major boost to M&C Saatchi’s creative stocks Ronojoy “Tintin” Ghosh will cross the ditch to take up the role of senior art director from Clemenger BBDO New Zealand.

Mr Ghosh has worked in Singapore, Indonesia and India, where he started his career at Y&R, New Delhi 12 years ago. He has picked up awards at most of the major shows and has won four Cannes Lions, including one Gold.
