Havas-owned ad agency Arnold Furnace has promoted Tom Spicer to ECD, as joint national CD Paul Fenton departs after six years with the agency.
Fenton said in a press release: “I’ve spent the past six years working with some incredibly clever people, staff and clients alike. I love the relationships I have built over that period.”
“It’s now time to change my career direction, and I’m currently talking to a few people about some new business opportunities to help make that possible here and overseas. Change is necessary, scary, but very bloody exciting.”
Spicer added: “Paulie over the last 2 years. He’s an incredibly talented man and also a lovely bloke, which is a pretty special mix. I’m happy for Paulie as he takes this change of direction but I’ll certainly miss his infectious enthusiasm and passion for all things art direction.”
“On a positive note I won’t have to listen to his terrible jokes quite so often and it also presents an exciting opportunity for Arnold Furnace as we look to shake things up, restructuring the department and adding more teams. As one door closes another always opens.”
