Pedestrian Home launches with Domain as key partner

Pedestrian has launched its home vertical, with new ASX entity Domain confirmed as the key sponsor.

The new sub-site will provide consumers with content around homewares, home ‘hacks’, real estate news and market developments which could impact Pedestrian’s 18 to 35-year-old audience.

Pedestrian Home was driven by research which found 90% of Pedestrian readers seek out new products for their homes and 55% are planning to move out of home in the next year.

Jen Young, head of content and social marketing at Domain said Pedestrian’s vertical provided Domain with an opportunity to connect with Millennials.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Pedestrian to help Australian Millennials find their next home. This is a great opportunity for us to connect with Millennials at all stages of the property lifecycle through Domain’s quality editorial and listings,” Young said.

Pedestrian’s co-founder Oscar Martin said Home would deliver “easy to digest, design-focused content”.

“Great design has never been more accessible and yet traditional homes titles continue to ignore Millennials who are passionate about making the most of the space they have,” Martin said.

The new vertical launch comes a month after Pedestrian named Josephine Rozenberg-Clarke its new editor.

It is the latest sponsored vertical to be added to Pedestrian’s suite, with Pedestrian Pets launching three months ago. The company has also announced the launch of teen website Pez and Auto and Start Up verticals.
