Pensioners Make You Laugh down on last week’s Toddlers Make You Laugh; Masterchef wins the night

Seven’s Pensioners Make You Laugh Out Loud pulled in 632,000 metro viewers at 7:30pm last night.

It was down on last week’s Toddlers Make You Laugh Out Loud, which drew 721,000 metro viewers, and well down on Animals That Make You Laugh, which was watched by 779,000.

The clip show was out-rated by Nine’s Britain’s Got Talent which achieved 650,000 viewers while the night was dominated by Ten’s Masterchef which attracted 1.155m.

Masterchef was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) while the second half-hour of Ten’s The Project was the second most-watched program amongst viewers aged 16-39 and 18-49.

The Project at 7:00pm, which last night saw host Waleed Aly defend comments made by Sonia Kruger, drew in 733,000 metro viewers.

Seven won the night with an audience share of 18.8% while Ten claimed second place with a share of 17.4%. Nine came in third with a share of 16.9% while the ABC settled for a share of 10.4%.

Seven’s local drama series Winners & Losers drew a metro audience of 561,000 at 8:30pm, with 533,000 sticking around for a second episode at 9:30pm.

Seven News at 6:00pm grabbed 1.207m metro viewers, dipping to 1.144m from 6.30pm while Nine News at 6:00pm was watched by 1.018m, sliding to 1.009m.

On the ABC, 7.30 had a metro audience of 595,000 and Catalyst (8:00pm) pulled in 532,000.
