Perth radio ratings: 92.9 beats Nova while Mix stays on top

I929 logon Perth’s commercial radio battle, Southern Cross Austereo’s 92.9 edged out competitor DMG’s Nova 93.7 to place second overall.

Part of the Today Network, 92.9 saw an increase of 0.2% to 11.2% Monday to Sunday  share from the last Nielsen ratings survey, as Nova dropped by 1.3% from 11.1 to 9.8 share.

The big point of difference between the networks came in the 18-24 demographic where 92.9 saw a 4.5% leap to 26.1 from 21.6 share while Nova saw a drop of 6.4 from 28.1 to 21.7.

However, Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 maintained its number one position and extended its percentage by 1.2 to 16.6 share.

Behind Mix, 92.9 placed second overall with ABC720 taking third place. Nova placed fourth (9.8% share), 96FM placed fifth (9.6% share) and 6PR placed sixth (9.7% share) down from last survey’s third place.

Triple J saw a big leap of 1.7% to 9.5 share.
