Perth radio ratings: Hit92.9 struggles as Nova eases clear in drive time slot
It was as you were in the Perth radio market with both market leaders – Mix94.5 and Nova93.7 – losing 0.3 points in the latest GfK ratings survey.
Mix94.5 retained its overall lead with a share of 13.7% with rival Nova second with 12.2%.
But the biggest loser was Hit92.9 which lost 2.1 points to finish the period with 9.6%, level with 6JJJ which saw a slight improvement of 0.4 points.
ABC Perth dipped 0.2 points to 9.1%.
It was a bumpy ride for Hit 92.9’s where its breakfast line-up of Heidi, Will and Woody lost ground on rivals after seeing their share fall from 11.2% to 9.3%.
The station struggled in the drive slot as well with Hamish and Andy seeing their share fall by 1.3 points to 13.1%.
Nova93.7 comfortably won the breakfast slot with its trio of Nathan, Nat and Shaun capturing a share of 14.2%, down 0.8 points. Its closest competitor on the FM dial, Mix94.5, climbed 0.3 points to 12.3%.
In the close drive time battle in Perth – where Nova and Mix were neck and neck with Hit just behind – Nova’s Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold eased clear. While its share remained largely static, up marginally to 14.6%, both Hit and Mix lost share.
