Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 has climbed back to its winning position after the last radio ratings survey pitched the station in a battle with Nova Entertainment’s Nova93.7.

Mix 94.5 reversed its slide of the last survey, this time posting a boost in Monday to Sunday audience of 0.9 points, grabbing an overall share of 14.5, ahead of Nova93.7’s share of 13.5.

Nova was not able to maintain the momentum of the last survey period in which it climbed by 1.2 points to be level with its rival, with the station this time seeing its overall audience drop by 0.1 share points to a share of 13.5.

Fairfax’s 96FM maintained its position as Perth’s third FM station despite a drop in audience share of 1.3 points to settle on an audience share of 9.4.

In breakfast, Mix94.5 reclaimed its breakfast FM ratings crown, with a share of 14, up by 1.3 points from the last ratings period with Nova’s breakfast show with Nathan, Nat and Shaun slipping slightly to a share of 13.8.

In AM ABC720’s breakfast show with Eoin Cameron dominated overall, with the show grabbing a share of 14.2. The station had a Monday to Sunday audience share of 9.6, well ahead of 6PR’s share of 8.5, which was down 1.1 on the last survey.

In the drive timeslot, Nova’s national syndicated program with Kate, Tim and Marty romped it in with a share of 15.5, well ahead of closest rival Mix 94.5 who settled for a share of 13.7.

ABC’s youth oriented station Triple J saw growth across all timeslots following fluctuations in its audience earlier in the year with an overall share of 10.4, up by 0.7 share points. Its breakfast show increased by 0.6 points to sit on a share of 10, while in drive it boosted its audience by 0.6 points to a share of 10.9.
