Perth radio ratings: Nova 93.7 back on top
Nova Entertainment’s 93.7 FM is back on top in the Perth radio market, after falling into second place during the last survey period.
The seventh GfK radio ratings survey, which ran from 19 August to 22 September and 30 September to 3 November, saw Nova 93.7 FM regain its crown with a 14.4% audience share overall (up 0.9 points from last survey), ahead of previous winner Mix 94.5 FM’s 13.9% (down 0.2 points).
Nova also reigned supreme in breakfast, with Nathan Morris, Natalie Locke and Shaun McManus (‘Nathan, Nat & Shaun’), climbing 0.5 points to a 15.1% audience share. Mix 94.5 FM’s Dean Clairs, Kymba Cahill and Matt Dyktynski (‘The Big Breakfast with Clairsy, Matt & Kymba’) remained in second place, despite a 1.3 point fall to 12.6%.
Macquarie Media’s 6PR was in third place for breakfast – and the leading AM station – with an 11.0% audience share for breakfast, up from 10.1% last survey.
Not far behind was ABC Perth, which had a 10.9% share for breakfast in Perth.
Southern Cross Austero’s Hit 92.9 FM had 10.2% for breakfast – a drop of 1.1 points for Heidi Anderson, Xavier Ellis and Ryan Jon.
Nova also led the drive-time battle, with 16.2% of the audience from 4pm to 7pm.
GfK measures drive from 4pm to 7pm. On Nova, the syndicated Kate, Tim & Marty Show (featuring Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold) runs from 4pm to 6pm, followed by an hour highlights package of Sydney’s breakfast duo ‘Fitzy & Wippa’ (Ryan Fitzgerald and Michael Wipfli).
Second place in drive went to Hit 92.9 FM, which commanded 12.9% of the audience for the time-slot – a 1.6 point climb.
Hit 92.9 follows the Hit Network’s model of the Carrie & Tommy Show (featuring Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little) from 3pm to 4:30pm, followed by Hughesy & Kate (with Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek) until 6:30pm. From 6:30pm onwards it plays Wakey Wakey It’s Danny Lakey.
Mix 94.5’s drive share slipped to 12.6% – down from 13.4% last survey.

I assume you are referring to 6IX? In which case, you are correct, I didn’t directly address it in the story.
