Perth radio ratings: Nova dominates overall shares, breakfast and drive

In the first GfK metro radio ratings of 2023, Nova 93.7 has retained the crown in overall shares for the Perth market, while Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 remained stagnant.

Nova continues to dominate the Perth market, with a 17% share. The network had a 0.9 point decrease, but remained on top.

Having overtaken Mix 94.5, the ARN’s 96FM sits in second, with a 12.1% share, while the former remained on an 11.2% share.

In breakfast, Nova’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun remained on top at 18.6%, despite seeing a 2.2 point decrease – the largest drop in breakfast.

96FM’s Clairsy & Lisa saw the largest point increase with 1.1, taking it to a 10.9% share, giving it the edge over Mix 94.5’s More Music Breakfast Show with Pete, Matt and Kymba, which sits at 10.4%.

ABC had a number of decreases in ABC Perth (0.6 points), ABC News Radio (0.4 points) and ABC Classic (0.4 points). Triple J, however, had a 0.9 point increase in breakfast.

In drive, although it had a 1.6 points decrease, Nova won with 16.8% overall. Similarly to breakfast, 96FM sits in second at 14.3%, and Mix 94.5 in third, with 10.5%. 96FM had a 4.2 point increase, while Mix had a 3.4 point decrease since the last survey.
