ABC youth station TripleJ lost some of the ground it gained in the last survey in the Perth market with both Nova93.7 benefitting from the decline to leapfrog it back to second place in the overall market.

Triple J posted declines across the board, falling 1.6 points in Breakfast, 2.5 point in Mornings and 3 points in the Afternoon slots to drop back to fourth in the market, having taken second spot in the last ratings.

Mix94.5 maintained its lead adding 0.8 points to grow its overall audience share to 14.3, while Nova’s 1.2 point growth saw it move to second spot with 12.5 per cent share and Australian Radio Network’s 96FM third with a 10.5 share, down 0.4 points on last time.

The Breakfast slot was pretty much horses for courses with Nova holding increasing its lead in the FM market with a 0.6 point rise to 12.9 per cent share, ahead of Mix’s 12.1 per cent. ABC720 maintained its overall lead with the AM station pulling 14.8 per cent share.

Drive also presented no surprises, with Nova’s nationally syndicated team of Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold jumped 1.6 points to a commanding 15.6 share ahead of  Australian radio Network station Mix’s Drive offering which also got a healthy 1.1 point boost to a share of 14.2 per cent.

Macquarie Radio Network’s 6PR dropped 0.3 points overall to a 6.9 share, with the talkback station shedding listeners in the important Breakfast and Drive slots, falling to a 9.7 share and 5.6 share respectively.
