Perth radio ratings: Two horse race, with Austereo on both horses
Austereo continues to dominate the Perth radio market, with its two stations in the top two commercial slots, according to the second radio ratings survey of the year, released by Nielsen today.
Mix has a seven day share of 14.1%, ahead of Austereo stablemate 92.9 on 11.6%.
However, DMG’s Nova saw improvement – up from 9.3% to 10.5%.
At breakfast, the improvement for Nova was even more marked, with breakfast show Nathan, Nat & Shaun up from 9.6% to 11.4%.
It took the show past 92.9’s Lisa, Baz & Sam on 10.3%.
But Mix’s The Bunch remains on top at breakfast despite a slight fall from 15.3% to 14.4%.
Two horse race? dig deeper because the numbers aren’t that rosy for Austereo.
Fifi & Jules dropped from 18.7 (which they inherited from Hamish & Andy) to 15.4 this book…that’s 3% in oly 2 surveys. Also Boticas Bunch & The Big Couch have both recorded losses this book.
Nova should be happy with Fitzy & Wippa climbing the highest in drive. Also Nathan and Nat did well with a large jump. Although I don’t know how much credibility there is in the 10 – 17 numbers
