Perth’s 92.9 Triple M welcomes the Toyota AFL Grand Final to town

92.9 Triple M has officially welcomed the 2021 Toyota AFL Grand Final to Perth.

The announcement:

92.9 Triple M is the home of AFL and is thrilled to be welcoming the 2021 Toyota AFL Grand Final to Perth.

This decision, thanks to the support of the West Australian Government, will ensure millions of fans from around the country get to experience the best game of the year with a roaring crowd behind it.

It is only the third time in history that an AFL Grand Final will be played at a venue other than the MCG, and where better to host it than at Optus Stadium in Perth on Saturday, 25 September.

As a broadcast partner of the AFL, 92.9 Triple M is throwing its full support behind the 2021 Grand Final with a stable of legendary commentators, including a local call by AFL legend Dennis Cometti, and free, live coverage from the first bounce to the nail-biting finish.

92.9 Triple M will also launch a competition to give away Grand Final tickets to some very lucky winners, including a huge Grand Final experience that money just can’t buy.

92.9 Triple M Perth Content Director, Tim Arnold, said: “Perth’s love for footy is legendary, so to be hosting the biggest game of the year on our home turf is an honour and the memories will last a lifetime.

“Our local stable of AFL legends including Xavier Ellis, Michael Barlow, Andrew Embley, Luke Shuey and Dennis Cometti are sure to make this game an unforgettable experience for our Perth listeners.”

Triple M’s action-packed live coverage of the 2021 AFL season has been leading up to this moment and it will be great to see Perth provide the best stage for the year’s biggest game.
