The boss of FMCG giant Unilever’s marketing in Australia David McNeil is to move to Singapore, with Peter Boone arriving from the Netherlands to become vice president of marketing.

Boone – previously global VP of brand development,  will manage the marketing division across all of Unilever’s food and home and personal care brands. They include the likes of Streets, Flora, Dove and Omo.

Boone said in a release: “Australasia is a very important and growing market for Unilever and I’m really looking forward to working with our teams and the customers in Australia and New Zealand to continue to deliver fantastic marketing campaigns under our leading brands.”

His 14 years experience with Unilever has also included running marketing for the company’s Latin America market.

Universal McCann is Unilever’s media agency. Much of its advertising work is tied to global rosters.

McNeil’s move to Singapore sees him stay with Unilever as senior vice president.
