Peter Wiltshire named new CEO of Medical Media as Nazar Musa steps down

Peter Wiltshire, Nine’s former chief revenue officer and group sales and marketer director, has been appointed CEO of digital media company, Medical Media.

He replaces founding CEO, Nazar Musa, who will continue to work more closely with the board until October. Musa will remain an investor and shareholder in his company, which now has more than 2,500 digital screens located in medical practice waiting rooms across Australia.

Peter Wiltshire became a non-executive director in 2017

Wiltshire left Nine in March of 2016, joining Q&A Startup Echofield’s advisory board and advertising and content network Medical Channel as a non-executive director.

In April last year, he announced the launch of his own advertising representation business, WeThinkMedia. His new appointment will see head of sales, Jane Stucci, handle day to day operations. Wiltshire will remain a director of his business, which includes clients The New York Times, MediaWorks New Zealand, 20Four and Lumo.

Of his departure, Musa said it was time to be closer to his family in Europe.

“It’s been an honour and a privilege to lead this incredible team of people as we grew from a handful of staff to Australia’s largest digital health network,” Musa said.

“It’s now time for my family to be closer to our wider family in Europe. We are incredibly lucky that someone of the calibre and reputation of Peter was available to take the reins and drive the business even further, and I’m really excited to watch the company’s continued growth.”

Wiltshire said he felt privileged to move into the chief executive position.

“It’s an exciting time as we scale the business,” Wiltshire said.

“While I will remain involved with my venture WeThinkMedia as a director, the business is in the very capable hands of Jane Stucci and her team as the agency continues its rapid growth trajectory.”
