Petstock continues as major partner of Ten’s Pooches at Play

Petstock as returned as a major partner for the fifth season of Ten’s Pooches at Play.

The announcement:

Pooches at Play will return to TV screens this Saturday 18 July at 2pm on Channel 10 with PETstock returning as Major Partner.

Also continuing as Series Sponsors are Big Dog Pet Foods, VitaPet and Caravan Industry Victoria, joined in Series 5 by Boehringer Ingelheim’s Nexgard SPECTRA and Bow Wow Meow Pet Insurance.

Following the success of Series 4’s pet-friendly travel theme, plus the dramatic rise in pet adoption and puppy ownership in 2020, Series 5 will provide viewers with plenty of tips and advice for new puppy and older dog owners covering training and behaviour, food and nutrition, health and grooming advice, as well as promoting pet-friendly travel to give hard hit regional communities a much needed boost when travel is allowed back into those regions.

Each of the partners will feature weekly across the 8 x 30-minute episode series, hosted by dog behaviourist/trainer and animal welfare advocate, Lara Shannon and co-host Morgan Burrett. The on-air team also includes resident vet, Dr Melissa Meehan, and Lara’s cheeky rescue dog ‘Dynamite Darcy’.

With a growing TV audience and online community of passionate dog owners and lovers, Pooches at Play was created by Lara Shannon, who is also the Executive Producer and Host, to provide dog owners with an entertaining and educational platform that provides solutions to many of the issues pet owners face. Shannon co-produces the show with Sydney production house, The Rusty Cage.

“With a long career of developing corporate partnerships within the wildlife conservation and animal welfare space, when it came to finding partners for Pooches at Play, it was important to me to work with companies and individuals that share the same values when it comes to animal health and welfare. I feel fortunate that over the past three years I have been able to partner with some amazing Australian companies who have continued to support our vision for the show and support us through to a fifth series,” said Shannon.

PETstock’s Head of Marketing Operations and Communications, Dion Collard said, “PETstock has been the major partner of Pooches at Play since Series 2, providing us with valuable multi-platform content and marketing opportunities that deliver more than just TV coverage. Animal welfare and responsible pet ownership is at the heart of this series and aligns with PETstock’s core values, which is just one of the reasons why we continue to grow our relationship with Lara and Pooches at Play to improve the lives of both pets and people.”

Founder and CEO of Brisbane based Big Dog Pet Foods has supported the program since its inception and said, “As an Australian company focused on using all Australian ingredients in our pet foods, Pooches at Play allows us to tell our brand story and be totally transparent with pet owners. Lara and her team share our passion for both entertaining and educating pet owners, while being able to leverage our partnership across other marketing channels to maximise our investment is why we have grown our relationship steadily over the past few years”.
