PHD head of digital departs, while agency restructures
PHD head of online Jonathan Axworthy is set to depart at the end of the year, while the media agency integrates its digital department into its client account teams.
Digital group manager Lauren Oldham has been promoted to take on Axworthy’s role. At PHD, she has worked for clients including Ferrero, The Movie Network Channels and Bing Lee.
She began her career in 2004 at Starcom Worldwide in Chicago, working on Sara Lee’s portfolio of brands and Walgreens.
PHD managing partner Mark Holden said Oldham will be responsible for “the development and training” of the ten staff members which make up the newly-merged digital department and client account teams.
He added that no redundancies were made as part of the restructure and it is currently recruiting for online managers.
Holden said Axworthy is leaving to “explore other options”.
Meanwhile, PHD recently appointed Chris Stephenson as head of strategy. He is joining the agency at the end of the month from Vizeum in the UK.
