PHD promotes Kate Milligan to Group Business Director

In a move that demonstrates its commitment to nurturing talent from within, PHD Australia has promoted Kate Milligan to group business director on the Google account. Milligan will now sit on PHD’s senior leadership team, reporting into executive director and head of HR, Stephanie Douglas-Neal. Having started her career at Manning Gottlieb in the UK, Milligan has had great success in the communications industry and particularly within Omnicom Media Group.

Commenting on the move, Douglas-Neal said, “PHD has undergone tremendous growth and our priority is to recognize those who have helped the business reach where it is today. Throughout her tenure, Kate has helped in successfully onboarding both Bayer and the Volkswagen Group and it’s great to reward someone with a passion for the PHD brand and its clients.”

Commenting on the move Milligan added, “Having worked at PHD for five years, I am extremely excited and proud to receive this recognition. Google is a fantastic account, one which is growing significantly in the hardware space following the rollout of Pixel and Google Home. It could not be a better time to join the account and I look forward to working with the team on growing their business further.”

Following Milligan’s move from the Volkswagen Group, Kyle McSweeney will step into Milligan’s previous role of business director, reporting into group business director, Kim Raicevich. Speaking on the move, Raicevich said, “The move to VW provides a fantastic opportunity to explore a whole new category and employ the rigour and skills McSweeney has honed working across FMCG in an entirely different way.”
