Pink Media Group wins its first client: a ‘small sexy car with grunt’

Gay media sales house Pink Media Group has picked up its first advertiser – Skoda.

The car brand will run ads for its Fabia Monte Carlo model across Pink Media Group’s AXN, Cherrie, DNA and LOTL titles in print and online, and on their Facebook pages.

Ben Mulcahy, MD of Pink Media Group said: “The gay and lesbian community over index on likelihood to buy new cars, we have fabulous cars instead of kids! As we tend to be SINKS or DINKS (single or double income no kids) small sexy cars with grunt have always been popular for this market.”

Skoda’s marcoms manager Oliver Peagam, added: “The Fabia Monte Carlo and Fabia 77TSI are our first foray into the small car market and, as a result, our target demographic is different to that of our other models. The bold design and tag line for the Fabia campaign already has great cut-through, so we’re hoping that by targeting the placements further, we’ll get additional returns.”

Pink Media Group launched in September, and has already secured partnerships with DNA Magazine, Lesbians on the Loose, Joy 94.9FM, Sydney taxi tops, Rogue Dance parties and Avant Card.

Last month, PMG signed a contract to represent hook-up app Grindr.
