New distributor Pinnacle appoints sales director
All Interactive Distribution company Pinnacle Films has appointed Huw Perkins as sales director for home entertainment.
“Huw’s extensive industry experience is exactly what Pinnacle Films need to take advantage of the larger theatrical film acquisitions. We are now well on the way to putting together an extremely strong team of experienced professionals,” said AID MD Sherard Kingston.
Huw worked at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for 17 years, with stints in London, Moscow and Sydney.
Pinnacle was launched in August, as AID’s acquisitions and distribution company, Pinnacle Films, headed by Richard Sheffield. The company’s first releases will be Andrew Traucki’s Australian thriller The Reef, and the China/US drama Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (dir. Wayne Wang), both scheduled for early 2011. Pinnacle is based on the Gold Coast.
