Poem wins PR account for TEDxSydney

Poem has won the public relations account for speaking event TEDxSydney.

Meanwhile, social agency L&A Social has been appointed by the event as its social media partner.

As part of the appointment, Poem will be responsible for managing communications including speaker profiling, press office and publicity throughout the year.

Matt Holmes, co-founder of Poem, said in a statement: “Millions of people have been inspired by a TED talk over the years and I’m certainly one of those in both a professional and personal capacity. The opportunity to be part of the team on one of the largest TEDx events in the world is genuinely incredible.

“Our shared philosophy in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world, plus the alignment between Poem’s ‘More Human’ mantra and this year’s TEDxSydney theme of HumanKind, means that we believe that this is the perfect time for us to help make this year the best yet.”

TEDxSydney also announced its principal partner for its 2018 event, St. George Bank.

Other partners include oOh! Media, H&R Block, The University of Sydney and The Sydney Morning Herald.

Fenella Kernebone, TEDxSydney’s head of curation, said in a statement: “TEDxSydney 2018 is all about locating and nurturing Australian ideas worth spreading with the aim to inspire people around the globe.

“We couldn’t ask for a better collection of partners that will join us in bringing this goal to life. They act as the tinder to help ignite new and challenging ideas.”
