Polson to shoot Truth in Melbourne in 2012
Tropfest founder and film director John Polson has announced hsi plans to shoot an adaptation of the Peter Temple novel Truth next year in Melbourne.
“I secured the rights to Temple’s novel late last year […] Truth is set firmly in Melbourne, and written by a Melbourne-based author, so it makes sense that this is where I’ll be bringing this incredible story alive onscreen.”
“Truth is one of the most stunning books I’ve read for a very long time. It’s an intricately layered crime novel about an imperfect cop fighting for emotional survival in a world of corruption and betrayal. I’m excited to be working in Melbourne next year and to contribute to filmmaking opportunities in Australia, as well as having the opportunity to work with some of the great industry talents we have here. For me, there’s no more appropriate place in the world to shoot this incredible story,” he added.
