Poor night for TV sees Home & Away top non-news shows with under 1m
With the airwaves clear of My Kitchen Rules, it was a dreary night of TV viewing during the Easter non-ratings period.
Home & Away was the most watched non-news show on a night on which only four shows eclipsed 1m – with 958,000 for Seven.
The top five highest ratings shows were Seven News, Nine News, Today Tonight, A Current Affair and ABC News, according to Oztam overnight metro ratings.
But the key advertising demographics of 16-39 and 18-49 were won by Ten’s The Biggest Loser, followed by The Big Bang Theory on Nine.
Ten and Nine dominated those demos, while Seven only managed three shows in the top ten 16-39 and 18-49 shows – Home & Away, The World’s Strictest Parents and Today Tonight.
Seven’s Sunrise was back on top at breakfast, beating Nine’s Today by 394,000 to 365,000.
Sunrise reigns supreme.

I much prefer Sunrise over Today. Not entirely sure why though.

My main gripe with Channel Seven right now is their promos. Home and Away for example, they have stopped showing the correct promo for the applicable episode, instead often showing a different storyline altogether or something that will happen several weeks later. This even happens for the promo 5 minutes prior to the start in the final ad break of Today Tonight. Pretty deceptive and annoying Channel 7!!

I think everyone connected with TV & programme making in Australia needs to have good long hard look at themselves in the mirror.
