Posse.com appoints Jeff Brookes as COO
Australian social music site Posse.com has appointed Jeff Brookes as chief operating officer.

Australian-based social music start-up Posse.com is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeff Brookes as Chief OperatingOfficer to lead the company’s expansion in 2011.
Jeff will be responsible for the commercial growth of Posse.com by driving the execution of Posse’s business strategy, operational procedure and staff management across Australia, UK and the soon to be opened US office.

Sitting on Posse.com’s board of directors is Lars Rasmussan(Founder of Google Maps and current Director of Engineering at Facebook), as well as Jeremy Colless from Artesian Capital and Michael Smellie, formerGlobal COO Sony Music.

Jeff joins Posse.com from one of the world’s most popular social games for teens Habbo Hotel, where he was Regional Director Asia Pacific of the Sulake Corporation, which owns and operates Habbo. Jeff launched Habbo’s Australian business in November 2004.
Prior to Sulake, Jeff had a spent over 14 years working in advertising across the UK, Asia and Australia for companies such as Saatchi & Saatchi. Jeff was also a co founder of LoadAd – a media sales company based in London, specialising in the placement of ads within computer games.
Jeff Brookes will commence his role on 21st September, 2011.
