PPR wins Cricket Australia

Professional Public Relations has been selected by Cricket Australia to represent the new T20 Big Bash League.

The win for PPR comes after other recent account wins for the agency including the National Basketball Association, Gymnastics Australia, and the Lavazza Marquee at the Emirates Melbourne Cup.

The agency will also be managing aspects of the Emirates golf sponsorships including the Australian Open in Sydney and the PGA Chapionships on the Sunshine Coast.

Bridget Marcou, GM of PPR Melbourne said: “Sport and event marketing is moving at a swift pace with social media now playing a huge role in the promotion of major events, so we have developed a specific digital capability to ensure we stay ahead of the game.”

“With so many events now being staged across the country, it’s also getting more and more difficult to cut through the clutter to make your event stand out,” said Marcou. “Australians are becoming more discerning in how they spend their leisure time and there is more and more competition to secure interest and attendance at major events, so you need to know your audience and what is going to motivate them to get involved.”
