Prince Harry and the Queen reunite for a Domino’s Half ‘n’ Half pizza
Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II have reunited in an ad for Domino’s.
Actors dressed as the two members of the royal family are shot from behind, as the Queen says to Harry ‘I’m actually glad we split… whoever thought you could combine a supreme and pepperoni’.
The voiceover declares ‘Nothing brings people together like a Domino’s half ‘n’ half’.
Domino’s is not the first brand to allude to the reported rift in the royal family that occurred as a result of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, stepping back as senior members of the family. In January, Flight Centre published a print ad underneath The Daily Telegraph and Herald Sun’s coverage of the couple’s announcement that said: “Grandkids moved to Canada?”.
An ad in Sportsbet’s caught the attention of industry body Ad Standards for suggesting that Prince Harry is ‘whipped’ by his wife.
The campaign from Domino’s is to advertise that it has ‘said Harryverderci’, or, removed the surcharge for ordering half-and-half pizzas.
Domino’s ANZ CMO Allan Collins said: “Pizza is the perfect sharing meal – there’s something for everyone and more than enough to go around.
“But sometimes sharing can be hard when you’ve got different dietary or taste preferences, or simply can’t agree on a pizza.
“Sharing a pizza with a vegetarian but hankering for some pepperoni? Partner likes pineapple on their pizza, but don’t think fruit belongs on a savoury dish?
“Now, you can both receive the ‘royal treatment’ and get exactly what you want – with no extra charge to split a Domino’s Half ‘n’ Half pizza.”
The deal is only running for a limited time and the split pizzas are not available for vegan cheese orders. Despite this, Domino’s said there are 378 potential combinations to order.
The campaign was created by Elevencom.

I was shocked to see this, there is a line not to cross and unfortunately this has crossed the line. This would leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I disagree completely with Amanda – Anything that pokes fun at the absurdity of the Royal family works for me… and they clearly get the product message across too.

When will everyone calm down. Will ‘single slice’ be under attack next for taking a shot at single parents.. Come on folks, grow up and get a reality check and grip on reality.
