Producer Jodi Matterson to speak at Women in Media National Conference
Film producer Jodi Matterson will appear at the Women in Media National Conference this August in Sydney.
The announcement:
Arguably Australia’s most successful film producer, Jodi Matterson will appear at the Women in Media National Conference this August at ICC Sydney.
The CEO of Silent Firework Group, Matterson has helped redefine Australian storytelling for a global audience. Her recent projects include The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, The Dry, Strife, Wolf Like Me and The Last Anniversary, based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel. Her work has broken streaming records, topped international charts, and featured stars such as Sigourney Weaver, Nicole Kidman, Eric Bana, and Teresa Palmer.
Matterson will take part in a headline session exploring how women storytellers are rewriting the cultural narrative. Rewriting Women, Reshaping Culture will bring together creators who are reshaping character, genre and industry itself – revealing what’s changing behind the scenes and what audiences are hungry for.
“Jodi Matterson’s work speaks for itself – bold, original, and always character-led,” said Women in Media general manager Kym Middleton. “She brings a deep understanding of what audiences connect with and why storytelling matters to us and the world we live in.”
The Women in Media National Conference takes place Friday 15 August at ICC Sydney, bringing together the nation’s leading voices across production, journalism, publishing, screen and communications.
