Product Lions shortlist yields no finalists for Australia as Samsung dominates
Australia has not received a single shortlisting for the inaugural Product Design category at Cannes Lions.
The new award was added this year and designed to acknowledge physical products which “aid the communication of brand ethos”.
There were eight entries from Australia in the first year, but none made the 26-strong finalist list.
Samsung has six entries on the shortlist whilst the Amnesty International Freedom Candles, the Nest thermostat and a Jawbone speaker are also represented.
