Dr Mumbo

Psycho killer on the radio

It’s a rare occasion where Dr Mumbo listens to a radio segment and thinks to himself: “Blimey – even Kyle Sandilands would find that too bad taste to broadcast”.

So big ups to BBC Radio Leeds for achieving that feat over the weekend with a contest to guess the identity of a person in the news.

The answer to the quiz was notorious murderer Ian Brady, who died aged 79.

During the 1960s Brady was involved in the Moors murders, in which five children were buried on Saddleworth Moor in the UK.

So the BBC radio station aired clips from “All the young dudes”, “The Brady Bunch”, “Little Children” and “Psycho Killer”.

Not surprisingly, the BBC has apologised.
