Publicis Media to create bespoke unit to service Lenovo account

Computer manufacturer Lenovo has appointed Publicis Media to handle its global media strategy, planning and buying.

The media agency group will create a bespoke client unit – Lenovo One Media – to service the account, which will be housed within performance marketing agency Performics and media agency brand Spark Foundry.

The business unit will be responsible for media strategy, planning and execution across all forms of traditional and digital media. Lenovo One Media will also provide global reporting and tools for Lenovo’s B2B and B2C brands and Motorola.

Lenovo One Media will service 28 markets across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, including Australia, and will be overseen by chief operating officer Andre Marciano.

Spark Foundry Australia CEO Sue Squillace said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Lenovo and Performics with a client and segment that is at the forefront of innovation and technology. We will connect and integrate Lenovo’s performance media planning, buying and optimisation across all markets.”

Performics Australia CEO Jason Tonelli added: “We’re delighted to partner with Lenovo to help drive growth locally through our performance marketing solutions. Performics is already instrumental in helping iconic brands in Australia generate direct revenue via performance marketing, and we’re excited to deliver the same for Lenovo.”

In September 2016, the global brand appointed Havas Media to its media account in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam, succeeding incumbents MEC and Zenith.
