Publicis Sapient appoints new VP to drive AI
Publicis Sapient has hired Gavin Seewooruttun to spearhead its data and artificial intelligence efforts within Australia.
Officially working under the title of vice president, data and AI lead, Seewooruttun will be responsible for using AI and data to enhance operations, generate new revenue streams and bolster the customer experience.
His career has seen him work at finance giant, EY, as its Asia Pacific AI leader from July 2016 to July 2021 — a role that saw Seewooruttun craft and deploy data and AI strategies for various institutions, including retailers and government departments. Prior to EY, he served as head of analytics at C3 (a firm specialising in analytics and data) and program director at technology consulting and services organisation Wipro Limited.
Most recently, he helped set up and launch AI -powered professional services solutions tool, Advaise. Seewooruttun filled the roles of chief technology officer and co-founder at the platform for more than three-and-a-half years before transitioning to being an investor in April 2025.

Angela Robinson, Publicis Sapient’s Australian managing director, described Seewooruttun as being a vital member of the business’s leadership team in Australia. According to her, the technology professional’s advisory experience and expertise in AI and data will be crucial in growing Publicis Sapient’s presence within the Australian market.
“Gavin is an incredibly important addition to our Australian leadership team. His appointment reflects the priority we are placing on AI-driven offerings in disrupting the consulting industry to drive more value for our clients. Publicis Sapient has been recognised widely for its global leadership in the development of AI-driven solutions,” Robinson said in the release.
Seewooruttun will be based in Melbourne for the role.
