Publish Question Time panel revealed
A panel of leading print and digital publishers will close out the inaugural Publish conference being held in Sydney on 20 November with Bauer Media’s newly appointed head of digital commercial strategy Monique Harris making her first public appearance since starting in her new role.
Harris is considered a digital and online pioneer after having successfully founded and built her own company Tempest Media and one of Australia’s first online women’s magazines Shesaid.com.au. She joins 30-year publishing veteran and boss of Pacific Magazines Peter Zavecz and Jason Scott, the CEO of one of the fastest-growing top 10 digital companies Allure Media, which publish Gawker, Pop Sugar and Business Insider. Ash Hunter, chairman of Publishers Australia and CEO of the Hunterfive group which publish the Just Magazine series of titles completes the lineup.
The Publish Question Time panel will address some of the biggest issues facing the industry as it continues to evolve and adapt to a changing consumer and technological environment.
Publish takes place on 20 November at Doltone House Hyde Park in Sydney, with 17 sessions over three streams and more than 45 speakers.
The keynote address will be given by Scott Lamb, VP international at BuzzFeed, while Fairfax Media boss Greg Hywood will talk about the transformation under way at the 180-year-old newspaper company.
