Qantas launches ‘Ausmerica’ push

Qantas has launched a new campaign promoting its LA, Dallas and New York services to the US.

“Ausmerica” which includes posters, print and TV work, has been created by Droga5.

The project is one of the first targeting Australian consumers since the creation of the new body Brand USA.

The campaign includes a consumer promotion with American Express to win trips to New York, and 50 travel agents will be flown to the US to familiarise them with key destinations for what it is labelling a “mega-famil”.

Joe Ponte, Brand USA’s strategy director for Australia and New Zealand, said: “We look forward to participants experiencing the breadth of what the USA has to offer by heading to  destinations across the USA.”

The TV ad was produced by Heckler.
