QBE introduces Rego the unexpected in South Australian third party motor insurance push

Rego, an animated character with the knack of popping up unexpectedly, is the star of an integrated campaign by QBE Insurance aimed at South Australian motorists.

Developed by The Core Agency, the campaign follows QBE’s entry into the state’s insurance market in 2018 with a major road safety campaign featuring Adelaide school children.

The campaign launches QBE’s compulsory third party insurance offering across TV, digital, social and website integration.

Christian Finucane, founder and creative partner at The Core Agency said: “CTP insurance is not something most people take a great deal of interest in. QBE’s animated campaign style will help the brand cut through and engage consumers in a fun and friendly way.”

Bettina Pidcock, chief marketing officer at QBE Insurance Group added: “The South Australian CTP market is extremely competitive, and we required a campaign to help us win against the local providers. By introducing the new ‘Rego’ character we make a clear link as to when customers need to consider QBE for their CTP insurance.”
