Quickflix and HBO enter streaming content agreement

Streaming and home delivery video service Quickflix has entered an agreement with HBO (Home Box Office) to stream previously aired content in Australia.

The announcement:

Quickflix enters licensing agreement with Home Box Office® (HBO®) for streaming of TV series and films in Australia

Quickflix Limited (Quickflix) announced today that it had entered a content licensing agreement with Home Box Office, Inc (HBO), USA’s largest premium television company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Warner Inc., a global leader in media and entertainment with businesses in television networks, filmed entertainment and publishing.

The deal heralds the debut of HBO television programs to Quickflix streaming, providing over 500 hours of content spanning television series, films, documentaries and stand-up comedy, including hit franchises such as Entourage℠, Sex and the City℠ and The Sopranos℠ and award-winning mini-series such as Band of Brothers℠ and The Pacific℠.

Subscribers to Quickflix streaming will soon have access to HBO’s content, via an expanding range of internet connected TVs and devices.
