RaboDirect hires Commbank’s Renee Amor to head up marketing

Renee Amor_RaboDirect Marketing ManagerRaboDirect has announced its new head of marketing, former Commbank marketer Renee Amor.

Amor replaces previous marketing head Melanie Templeton who has moved to RaboDirect New Zealand as general manager.

She will be working with agencies including Whybin\TBWA, which handles RaboDirect’s advertising.

Amor was previously executive marketing manager of the small business segment at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and prior to that held marketing roles at St George Bank for almost four years.

Amor will head up the 11-strong RaboDirect marketing team and RaboDirect’s advertising, online, media and PR agencies. She is responsible for all Rabo marketing efforts, including  above- and below-the-line campaigns, social media, PR, sponsorship of the RaboDirect Rebels, customer segmentation and communication.

According to Amor’s LinkedIn profile, she has over 17 years experience in marketing.

Executive general manager of RaboDirect Australia & New Zealand, Greg McAweeney, said in a release: “Renee’s broad marketing career made her an obvious choice for the head of marketing role. But it was also the fact that she identifies so strongly with our mission to deliver transparent, straight-talking banking to customers that made the decision easy.”

Amor has recently completed an MA in Communications Management at UTS. She began her career in marketing with an eight year stint at the Penrith Panthers.
