RACV $14m up for review, MediaCom on alert

Screen Shot 2014-03-14 at 11.39.54 AMThe Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) is reviewing its media agency for its $14m account, with incumbent MediaCom on alert.

Among the agencies thought to be on the shortlist are MediaCom who will face off against other agencies, including Mitchell & Partners and OMD.

The review is being handled internally and is understood not to involve a live pitch, with agencies on the shortlist being asked to provide documents only for the process.A pitch from RACV has been long rumoured with Mumbrella reporting mid-last year that the account was likely to come up.

Carolyn Sandiford general manager of marketing at RACV confirmed that the pitch process was ongoing but declined to comment on the full shortlist.

RACV is the main Victorian motoring club and mutual organisation, providing services such as roadside assistance, insurance and loans.
