Radio Ratings: Mix 94.5 holds Perth ratings crown for third survey running in 2014

Mix 94.5 continues to rein supreme in Perth, boosting its audience share by 0.1 share points to 14.5 per cent, with its closest FM competitor Triple J sitting on a share of 11.7 per cent after a decline of 1.1 share points, according to the third survey result from GfK.

The station has dominated the ratings in each period this year and for this period the station saw an audience increase across each timeslot.

Nova Entertainment’s Nova 93.7 came in third with an audience share of 11.4 per cent after a decline of 0.2 share points, according to numbers from Gfk.

Southern Cross Austero’s Mix 94.5 continues to hold its FM breakfast ratings crown with the breakfast team Clairsy, Shane and Kymba holding a share of 13.8 per cent up from last ratings period share of 13.3 per cent.

Triple J and Nova 93.7 tied for the second most popular FM breakfast show with both programs having an audience share of 11.3 per cent.

ABC720′s breakfast with Eoin Cameron continues to dominate the breakfast time slot with an audience share of 15.3 per cent, a decline of 0.3 share points from the last ratings period.

In the morning timeslot 9am to 12pm, Mix 94.5’s Ross Edwards is the standout favourite with an audience share of 16.4 per cent while its closest competitor 96FM’s Mornings with Mark (Smiley) Pascoe has an audience share of 12.1 per cent.

Mix 94.5’s domination continues into the afternoon timeslot, with Simone Heng boasting an audience share of 16.7 per cent, up 0.2 share points from the last ratings period.

Nova’s scheduling with Joel comes in second place with an audience share of 13.1 per cent.

In drive time, despite a decline of 0.3 share points, ABC’s Triple J was the most listened to station with an audience share of 13.6 per cent, while Mix 94.5’s drive show with Fred and Lisa nips at its heels with a share of 13.5 per cent an audience share jump of 0.4 share points.

Nova’s national Kate, Tim and Marty drive show continues to decline with an audience share of 12.4 per cent down from 13 per cent in the last ratings period. In the first ratings period for 2014, the show had an audience share of 14.2 per cent.
