Rapid Films has hired former Leo Burnett producer Rita Gagliardi.

The announcement:

Rapid Films has announced a coup with the hire of former agency producer Rita Gagliardi. Joining the Rapid fold after 10 years as a senior producer with Leo Burnett, her appointment reflects the continuing growth and momentum of Rapid’s stable of talent.

A well-known and popular personality on the Australian advertising landscape she has worked extensively across all facets of television production. Her years with Leo Burnett have seen her at the production helm of countless multi award-winning campaigns.

Rapid Films’ Executive Producer Susannah DiLallo said the entire team was excited about Gagliardi’s arrival.

“Rita has invaluable experience at the highest level,” she said. “We are thrilled to have her on board. She adds serious gravitas to an already outstanding team here at Rapid and we are privileged to collaborate with a producer of her expertise.”

In her years of professional growth at the agency Gagliardi worked on many successful local and international campaigns with clients such as Canon, Samsung, McDonald’s, Diageo, GIO, Colonial First State, Energy Australia and WWF’s Earth Hour initiative.

Noteworthy campaigns include Johnnie Walker’s Where Flavour is King, Bundaberg Rum’s White Rum ‘Character Vs. Bland’, Smirnoff’s Start Pure, Earth Hour’s Moths, McDonald’s Name It Burger, Colonial First State’s Find your Future and Eye for Canon Brand TV.

In 2013 she represented the agency at the Cannes Lions Awards contingent after being named Leo Burnett’s ‘Employee of the Year’ in 2012.

Gagliardi said she was thrilled to be joining the team at Rapid Films, working with star director Taylor Steele amongst others, and contributing to its vision and passion for production.

“Having developed a love for production over my time at Leo’s, I’m so excited by this next chapter and the move across to production company side,” she said. “I have been incredibly fortunate to work with such an amazing agency and am so grateful for all the opportunities they have given me. This move is one that really energises me. I’m looking forward to working with such a talented group of people and continuing the great work that they are known for.”
