Raymond A Ram stars in new ad for RAMS

Rams ad stillFinancial services brand RAMS has launched a new ad campaign this weekend featuring the brand’s ‘RAMbassador’ Raymond A Ram.

The campaign, created by AJF Partnership’s Sydney office, breaks as the brand increases its interest rate.

The ad, which debuted on national TV last night, features the animated male sheep on a fishing trip.

Head of brand and marketing Chris Thornton told Mumbrella that the brand mascot had helped the 18 month-old insurance offering quickly gain awareness to challenge rivals Ubank, Virgin Money and Rabo Direct.

“In this ad, and in those going forward, we will be using Raymond as the brand enforcer rather than the spruiker of the product, in the style of a down-to-earth conversation between mates,” he said.

AJF Sydney CD and founding partner, Adam Rose said in a press release: “We’re thrilled to be working with RAMS and look forward to showing off Raymond’s lighter side as he simplifies ‘finance’ for his Australian mates.”
