Ready for Takeoff builds audience as Seven wins another Friday

Qantas’ self-funded show following the ins and outs of life for the airline’s staff and passengers saw its ratings rise again last night, but was not enough to overcome Seven’s Friday night dominance.

Ready for Takeoff

Ready for Takeoff managed 438,000 viewers according to OzTam overnight metro ratings, its second highest result for the second series so far, up from 393,000 last week.

It debuted three weeks ago with 377,000 viewers in the 7.30pm timeslot, before pulling a series high 463,000 in its second week.

However it was only fourth in the 7.30pm slot behind Better Homes and Gardens, which managed 708,000 viewers, Ten’s The Living Room which had 535,000 viewers and the now doomed Friday version of 730 on ABC had 451,000 viewers.

Seven managed to set up a tight end to the ratings week with Nine with a dominant Friday night performance, pulling 19.5% audience share courtesy of news and Better Homes and Gardens.

Nine managed 15.2% and ABC 12.4%, just ahead of Ten’s 12.7% share.

Going into Saturday Nine has 19.1% cumulative share for the week and Seven is on 18.5%.

Seven News had 912,000 viewers at 6pm and 841,000 at 6.30pm, while Nine had 786,000 and 756,000 respectively.
