Red Dog moves to August
Koko the dog will have to sit and roll for four more months, as Distributor Roadshow Films has changed the release date for Kriv Stenders’ family-friendly film Red Dog, from April 21 to August 11.
The heartwarming film is based on the book Red by Louis de Bernieres, which tells the real story of a kelpie dog that travelled around Western Australia in the 1970s and helped create a sense of community in the mining town of Dampier.
The film was produced by Nelson Woss and Julie Ryan, and stars US actor Josh Lucas, Rachel Taylor and Luke Ford.
Good idea, it was going to get smashed by Thor, Griff, Battle LA etc

I am so looking forward to this movie, I’ve been keenly following developments since it was announce and always curious about the final execution. Trailer is fantastic, great work! And glad to see the release date be pushed back as well as @Dean points out it would have been slammed by competition.
Now, please just don’t stuff up the marketing AND leave it to the last minute!

Of all the movies I recently viewed at the Dallas International Film Festival (April 1 – 10) Red Dog is the only film I plan to buy when it is sent to dvd release. Great flick.

Very disappointed, have been eagerly waiting for months for this movie to come out, was going to be the highlight of my Easter long weekend.
