Reddit introduces updates to its ad manager

Social platform Reddit has introduced a slew of updates to its ad manager, including new features for campaign creations and measurement.

The announcement:

As we continue to scale our global advertising business and welcome new brands to our platform every day, we’re excited to share the latest round of updates to Reddit’s Ads Manager, which will make it even easier for advertisers to set up and manage their campaigns on Reddit.

Effective immediately, these changes will benefit all Reddit advertisers with specific updates geared towards our growing cohort of self-service clients as well as our international advertisers.

The following new features aim to make the Reddit Ads Manager easier and more dynamic:

  • Simple Campaign Creation: For our self-serve advertisers and those who want to get an ad live on Reddit as quickly and seamlessly as possible, we have developed the Simple Create flow to build a campaign with a single ad in three easy steps (create an ad, set up targeting and budgets, and select payment).

  • Automated Ad Creation: Reddit advertisers can now build and test multiple sets of ad variations on the platform to see what messaging resonates most strongly with their target audience – saving them time previously spent building new ads one-by-one.

  • Multi-Currency Support: To best meet the needs of our growing international client base hailing from more than 40 countries, advertisers can now select the international currencies they wish to operate in, including the Australian Dollar (AUD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP), and New Zealand Dollar (NZD).

Once campaigns are up and running, the following updates will make management more seamless and intuitive:

  • Improved Community Search: Advertisers searching for targetable communities on Reddit can now do so by topic relevance to better discover the most relevant communities for their campaigns, and maximize reach to relevant audiences.

  • Reporting Retention: For advertisers wanting to look back on their campaign performance, Reddit Ads Manager now supports a 12-month reporting look-back, especially helpful for advertisers seeking to analyze their ads activity over time.

  • Bulk Edit Improvements: This tool now empowers advertisers to make changes and updates to bids, budgets, and 3rd party reporting trackers for ads across multiple campaigns and ad groups at the same time.

“Like Reddit’s 100,000+ communities, our client base is diverse and seeking different things from their Reddit Ads experience. These latest updates to our Ads Manager reflect our broad advertiser make-up and are designed to empower all clients to get the most from their campaigns on Reddit, regardless of their goals,” said Reddit’s EVP of ads monetization, Shariq Rizvi. “As we continue to scale our business and welcome advertisers from all corners of the world, we want their experience to be easy, intuitive and dynamic – these updates are a direct result of us listening to and improving based upon the needs of new and longtime advertisers on the platform.”
