Regional TV Marketing launches campaign targeting agencies and advertisers
Regional TV Marketing, the marketing and research body for regional broadcasters, has unveiled a digital promotion to launch this year’s Regional TV Guide created to sell the medium to agencies and advertisers.
The “Attentive Eyeballs” video created by Ogilvy Sydney features animated eyeball characters that are used to highlight some of the changes in regional Australia and the attractions of regional free-to-air TV as an advertising platform.
To help promote the video and RTV Guide, the regional TV body is running a competition to win a weekend for two in Noosa which is featured on the Regional TV Marketing website and is being shown on the Media i network, which is a series of screens placed in media agencies.
Tim, how come you haven’t slagged this off yet? Are they paying you or something?
Declaration of interest: Regional TV paid Mumbrella to send out a marketing message earlier this week.
But to answer your question, anonymous, I think it’s an okay ad.
Although funnily enough, what’s generated more conversation in the Mumbrella office has been the quantity of decent work that seems to be coming out of Ogilvy of late. Either their PR has got better recently, or they’ve upped their game.
Now it’s your turn to declare an interest, anonymous – from the looks of your IP address you have a rivalry to declare with the Regional TV body, don’t you?
Cheers,
Tim – Mumbrella
