The announcement:

Bauer Media is pleased to announce that this year’s CLEO Bachelor of the Year campaign will be supported by major sponsor Renault CLIO and category sponsor McCain Foods.

Returning for its 28th year, 2014 will mark a new era for CLEO Bachelor as the search to find the nation’s most eligible men is broadened to include ‘real’ Australians; placing the boy next door in the spot light alongside notable male identities.

CLEO Editor, Lucy Cousins said, “This years’ CLEO Bachelor of the Year is set to be one of the most exciting yet, with some fantastic new initiatives in place that will see our search to find Australia’s most eligible men come to life in-magazine, online, and across social media.

“The new ‘real-guy’ twist will give readers the opportunity to put forward their friends, brothers, and colleagues, making it more accessible than ever before; and who knows we may even uncover Australia’s next big superstar.”

McCain Foods’ Director of Marketing, Michael O’Brien said, “CLEO Bachelor is such a recognisable event that provides us with a great platform to execute an engaging and creative campaign. We are thrilled to be joining CLEO on the journey to find Australia’s most eligible bachelor for 2014.”

Throughout July, CLEO will be hosting a series of scouting nights across major capital cities encouraging people to come along and enter the line-up. The winner of the 2014 CLEO Bachelor of the Year Awards will be announced at a major event in Sydney in September.

Since launching in 1986, CLEO Bachelor is one of the most notable and recognisable magazine events, propelling some of Australia’s biggest stars into the spotlight, including Jaimie Durie, Andy Lee, and Russell Crowe.
