Revealed: The Mumbrella Awards teams doing battle to be named bravest, cleverest and most innovative

The shortlists can be today revealed for the most fiercely contested categories of The Mumbrella Awards.

The Mumbrella Award for Culture was the single most entered category, with 46 entries. Also announced today are the shortlisted teams for the Mumbrella Award for Bravery, the Mumbrella Award for Insight, the Mumbrella Award for Data and the Mumbrella Award for Innovation.

Today’s shortlist announcement follows yesterday’s revelation of the teams in the running for the agency of the year categories. The shortlists:

The Mumbrella Award for Bravery sees two media agencies, two ad agencies and two PR agencies do battle.

  • UM – McDonald’s Gets Grilled – UM
  • Naked – Steal Banksy
  • Leo Burnett Melbourne – 7-11 BYO Cup
  • M&C Saatchi/ Mark – Sydney Opera House /  Google – Front Row
  • One Green Bean – Virgin Mobile Doug Pitt
  • Eleven PR – Leaf launch
The Mumbrella Award for Culture is contested between three media agencies, a creative agency, a digital agency and a marketing team:
  • Droga5
  • Ikon
  • Mediacom
  • Red Balloon
  • UM
  • Visual Jazz Isobar
Three media agencies and three creative agencies will do battle for The Mumbrella Award For Insight:
  • Match Media – Pfizer Animal Health: Revolution
  • Monkeys – Sydney Opera House / Ship Song Project
  • Ogilvy Sydney – Share A Coke
  • PHD – Google Chrome
  • Razor – Nike She Runs The Night
  • Whybin \ TBWA – Rabo Direct

The Mumbrella Award for Data sees media agencies, a digital agency and two creative agencies do battle:

  • Maxus – Spirit of Tasmania
  • PHD – Pathfinder
  • Pixel Light – Goswitch
  • Whybin – EA Games
  • The Works – Twitter datification

The Mumbrella Award for Innovation will be contested by a digital agency, two media agencies, two creative agencies and a PR agency:

  • Analog Folk – Arvo Beer
  • DDB – Telstra Crowd Support
  • Eleven PR and Whybin TBWA – MJ Bale Grazed
  • Ogilvy – Share A Coke
  • OMD – Wrigley’s
  • ZO – Heineken Kick
The Mumbrella Awards takes place at Doltone House in Sydney on Thursday September 13. The final category shortlists will be announced tomorrow.
