Rh7thm CEO Ross Dawson exits

The CEO of marketing agency Rh7thm, Ross Dawson, has exited the agency after less than 10 months to return to his previous role as chairman of the Future Exploration Network.

Dawson – who at the time was the chairman of The Insights Exchange, Future Exploration Network and Advanced Human Technologies Group – and We are Social founder Julian Ward,  launched Rh7thm in June last year with CommBank, Transport NSW and Epson as foundation clients.

In an email titled ‘My email address and company have changed’, Dawson said: “I have left Rh7thm and have shifted my activities to focus almost entirely on my work as a futurist, returning to my role as Chairman of Future Exploration Network.

“The reason for this shift is that for too long now I have split my time between my futurist and entrepreneur roles.

“While I will never be able to hold myself back for too long from entrepreneurial ventures, I have not enjoyed having more on my plate than is possible to do.

“I deeply love working as a futurist – it is my truest calling – and for now I want to focus on that rather than trying to run multiple ventures simultaneously.”

Julian Ward, executive chairman and co-founder at Rh7thm, said in a statement to Mumbrella: “Rh7thm continues to focus on driving innovation through client and project work, startup advisory and investment into game-changing early-stage ventures.

“7DX, the specialist science and research-based AR/VR strategy and production studio, is one such innovation based venture to be born out of Rh7thm. Ross will continue to be involved in bespoke projects with 7DX from time to time.”

Rh7thms clients include: Atlantic Group, Boehringer Ingelheim, BDO, Chartered Accountants, CeBit, Commonwealth Bank, Disrupt Sports, EPSON, eve, mirvac, paymentsnz, Star Alliance, TechSydney, Transport and Verifone.

“Rh7thm and 7DX are on an exciting journey and I look forward to continuing to participate in their projects and activities as they build their global success,” Dawson said in a statement to Mumbrella.
