Rhys Mugdan joins Pedestrian TV as Tinder partnerships lead

Rhys Mugdan has been appointed group partnerships and Tinder lead at Pedestrian TV.

The announcement:

PEDESTRIAN.TV appoints Rhys Mugdan to fill the newly created role of Group Partnerships Manager & Tinder Lead.

The appointment follows the news earlier this month that PEDESTRIAN.TV, Australia’s largest youth-focused publishing brand announced an exclusive reseller partnership with Tinder/Match Media Group. The partnership means Pedestrian’s National Advertising & Partnerships team become the official local partner to advertise to Tinder’s highly engaged user base.

Rhys joins PEDESTRIAN.TV from his previous role as the ‘Senior Sales Lead’ at Snapchat, supported by Dana Fletcher, Advertising and Partnerships Manager. Rachel Tikey, Head of Partnerships – NSW at PEDESTRIAN.TV said, “We are thrilled to have Rhys onboard at Pedestrian Group. His commercial vision and creative mind will further ensure the proposition for our agency and client partners is powerful and more importantly effective. Whilst the Tinder partnership announcement will see Pedestrian Group’s strength of reaching and resonating with young Australian’s continue to grow.”

Roly Elliott, Regional Vice President of Sales for Tinder and Match Media Group, said “Pedestrian was a “natural fit” to represent Tinder’s millennial audience and native ad solutions in the Australian region. It is the first time Tinder has launched a partnership of this kind in Australia. Their local expertise and existing relationships with advertisers will be valuable in growing our presence in market.”
