Robb Report Australia appoints ex-GQ editor Richard Clune as editor in chief
Luxury title Robb Report Australia and New Zealand has appointed former GQ associate editor Richard Clune as its editor in chief.
The announcement comes three years after the Australian launch of the title. In 2017, the title rebranded and switched to a bi-monthly publishing schedule as a result of a new partnership between US publisher Penske Media Corporation and Rockbridge Growth Equity.
Clune joins the title with over 20 years of experience in the media industry, working across TV, radio and print. He was most recently the associate editor of GQ Australia, a role he spent almost two years in after five years with the title.
He also co-authored Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ book, The Honey Badger Guide To Life. Prior to that, he spent almost 10 years with News Corp.
“I’ve loved Robb Report for many years and so it’s a tremendous privilege to be appointed editor-in-chief of Robb Report Australia and New Zealand,” Clune said.
“I’m genuinely enthusiastic about the journey ahead – to elevate and enliven the brand while delivering unique new initiatives that will further develop Robb Report Australia and New Zealand’s standing in what it offers both our audience and our partners.”
The team at Robb Report ANZ also handles the production of Robb Report UK which is then printed in Europe.
Publisher Freya Purnell said the appointment of Clune signified a move forward into a new phase for Robb Report.
“We’re excited to welcome Richard on board as he brings strong experience in the luxury sector and a fresh commercial perspective to take the brand into the next phase of its development.”
