Robot newsreaders join the Whooshkaa platform

Podcasting company Whooshkaa has added the ability to allow publishers to generate instant podcasts from text, has added the two voices to its text-to-voice service.

Since launching in January last year, News Corp, Sky News, Fox Sports, Fairfax, SBS, Bauer Media, Huff Post Australia and NRL have signed up for the Whooshka platform.

Robert Loewenthal, founder of Whooshkaa, said in a statement:”Whooshkaa is using artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously improve the already high quality audio content of its enterprise partners.

“Our enterprise partners can use Whooshkaa to automatically convert their stories and news feeds into audio. We are the first audio platform in the world to make these features available. Publishers can now generate a comprehensive news bulletin in real time, combining the top stories of the day into a single podcast.”
