ROKT raises US$8million in capital raising
Digital referral marketing company ROKT has raised US$8million in November from a group of investors which will be used to accelerate the global rollout of the company’s digital platform.

Digital referral marketing pioneer ROKT successfully raises US$8 million in November 2013 from a group of world-class investors.
Ex-Jetstar CEO Bruce Buchanan, now head of digital referral marketing pioneer ROKT, announced today the company had successfully inked US$8 million in a capital raising that will be used to accelerate the global rollout of the company’s successful digital platform.
The capital raising puts the value of the company in excess of US$50 million. Investors include Lachlan Murdoch, Square Peg Capital, John Ho and Greg Roebuck.
Welcoming the investment, CEO Bruce Buchanan said: “We’re delighted to bring these supersavvy investors into the ROKT family. When we approached a few hand-picked, strategically relevant investors we were quickly oversubscribed.”

We’ve undertaken a rigorous analysis before making this investment and we believe that ROKT has the potential for growth that could make it a global player in a very short space of time.”
ROKT has developed a digital referral marketing platform that generates more than 10 million transactions through 9 million unique visitors a month that result in over 1 million referrals for advertisers each month.
Mr Buchanan, who joined ROKT a year ago, said that the past 12 months had been “fantastic for the business.”
“We’ve had revenue and transactions from our referral marketing platform grow five-fold in that time and we’re excited to welcome some of the country’s biggest investors to ROKT to assist in our expansion.”
Hong Kong-based Janchor Partners CIO John Ho said: “Bruce has a strong track record and I have a lot of confidence in the management team. ROKT has the right people and platform to excel in this space”.
